After having toured all of the continental United States (a few times over) with the electro-pop group Brothers Past, and meeting, speaking and connecting with thousands of fans, Tom Hamilton felt he had a new found connection with America and its music. Home from the road, Tom dove head-first into the more roots oriented, slice of Americana tunes that he was raised on. Digging up the Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, and John Prine records his father played for him as a child, as well as discovering more current Americana artists, like Ryan Adams, Bright Eyes, and Aimee Mann, Hamilton went to work on writing a plethora of songs with the vision of a stripped down album that captures the magic that happens when it’s just musicians in one room playing songs and having fun (a la old Rod Stewart and The Faces). This is the beginning of the realization of Mr. Hamilton’s vision.
